Grub/insect control:
There
are various insect that can cause damage to your
lawn. Grubs are one of the worst pests to attack
your lawn in this area during the late Spring and
early fall. Grub control will kill the grubs before
they develop into the Japanese beetles which feed on
your landscape trees and shrubs.
Tree and Shrub
fertilization Program:
Balanced fertilizer in
Spring and Late Fall to promote growth and color all
through the growing season.*
*Growth regulators available upon request at
additional charge
*Insect and disease spray 3 times through the
growing season to protect against fungus, mold, and
insects
*Under certain conditions complete control of some
pests may require additional applications or
products.

Disease Control:
Brown patch Disease
is the most common disease usually attacking Fescue
lawns in the late Spring and throughout the summer.
It can be costly to control with chemicals only so
here are some tips on how to suppress it.
1-water only
between 5 am and 12 noon during the summer months.
2-water one or
two days a week for two complete cycles of 20 to 40
minutes (approximately 1" per week) soaking the lawn
and then allowing time to dry out.
3-Keep fescue
4-6" tall. If the lawn gets disease it will be less
noticeable and it will recover much quicker.
4-Apply a
preventive rate of fungicide when conditions are
right (above 80 degrees and high humidity)

Dollar spot:
Dollar spot fungus
is usually found in Bermuda grass and Zoysia. It is
named for the silver dollar sized brown spots that
appear. It is usually active in the mid and late
summer. Most times one treatment of fungicide along
with a high nitrogen fertilizer will cure the lawn.
However if conditions continue to be favorable for
the growth of the fungus an additional treatment may
be necessary. Treatments usually provide a 20-28 day
residual of protection. As with fescue, water only
in the morning hours and water long and deep two to
three days per week.
